I have been deeply concerned about the extensive division within the church lately. It troubles me how there are numerous disagreements regarding the interpretation of certain subjects in the Bible. These disputes are causing a rift among believers and obstructing our ability to effectively share the gospel with those who are unfamiliar with Jesus. If the church, meaning followers of Christ, cannot find common ground on these matters, how can outsiders perceive our message as good news when we ourselves are unsure of what that good news entails? Are we not aware of what is happening to us? Satan and his demons are attacking the church, manipulating us into divisive debates instead of seeking God's guidance. Instead of relying on the prevailing cultural opinions, we should seek God's wisdom to discern right from wrong. We should look to Jesus, not protesters or world leaders. I assure you, if we adopt this approach, the church can regain its effectiveness. So, what does God say about the division within the church, and how should Christians navigate the current social climate? In Titus 3:10-11, it addresses individuals who sow discord and advises us to warn them twice. If they persist in causing problems, it is advisable to disassociate from them. This does not contradict Christian values and morals. Once you have expressed your perspective as a Christian, and they continue to foster division, it is best to step away, entrusting the rest to Jesus. But what about believers who are contributing to the division within the church? In 1 Corinthians 1:10-17, it emphasizes the importance of unity among Christians in their thoughts and judgments. As the body of Christ, it is our responsibility to guide those who are misled towards prayer and reading God's word. We should study the Bible, read the entire chapter for context, and pray for wisdom. By engaging in these practices, we can reach countless lost individuals. It is our duty to have faith in God's word and reveal His true goodness to the world.
